Tagline/Mini-Synopsis:

Demons can be as artificial as sweeteners... But naturally hapless and ignorant as any idiot-- including dangerous.

Full-On Description:

The remaining members of the evil quartet, "Artisans," have just finished their latest creation for world conquest: artificial demons, which have all the power of natural demons but lack the expected vulnerabilities (ex: holy water does nothing). They plan to send them far and wide, slowly taking over continent after continent... But what exactly should they plan to do with Raifu, Sherubi's personally important demon? After all, their goal is to conquer the planet, not destroy it-- and this hapless goof is a walking disaster!

Still, Raifu's destructive capabilities could prove useful if he learns how to avoid letting all-- including himself --fall victim to his own hubris. But before he can be given his own continent to help conquer, he must prove he's at least capable of conquering the town over yonder. Easier said than done-- seriously... --when members of the secret group, the "Angels Agency," are assigned to protect that part of the world from such threats. ... Even if more so a "threat" by haplessness and whatnot.

If Raifu wants to conquer the town, he'll have to get past Skyler Hemmings and the rest of the leader's group. With Claire, a modified "werewolf" as his only aiding ally, Raifu will have to make do with what he's got... Aw man, he's not gonna win, is he? Well, stranger and crazier things have happened in history-- or modern day society, and ESPECIALLY modern day society.

But will he? Especially as an entity that's not naturally so, but...

Setting:

Raifu originates from a secret underwater base that Sherubi, Gustel and Grayson continue their evil plans within. Later, he arrives in Wolfuchs: his given town to conquer and prove his capabilities. Raifu's base consists of a blue A-framed house. Naturally, Claire lives here, too.

As for the Angel's Agency members, they live in their respective homes: Skyler lives with Terra (mother) in a cabinside plot, the Smith Sisters live together in a large home, and Judy and Cio live in an apartment together.

Sometimes, there'll be a new part of town or our artificial demon will try his hand at domination elsewhere. You can expect the AA members to not be too far behind. The agency also has a secret underground base for meetings and detaining any entities that are to be "rehabilitated": it's less like a dungeon/prison and more like a modern day facility-- including treatment and whatnot.

Misc. Notes:

-Claire and Raifu have brain chips that will transform them into giant, hostile forms intended to take all else down with the dying being.

-Claire and Raifu have natural alternative forms: Claire's obvious werewolf one (she's not bigger and only more animalistic), and Raifu's partially and fully demonic forms. The "partial" form still has him humanoid, just more demonic-looking; while the "full" form turns him into a griffin-like beast of giant size.

-Raifu was birthed by the combined DNA of Sherubi and her late lover, Ookami, along with the overall "ingredients" to make an artificial demon. Therefore, he's technically her son and hence her favoritism of him.

-Claire behaves a bit more like a pet puppy, given she's supposed to be more "beastly." She was also given to Raifu, in the hopes that some "responsibility" would teach him to better maintain his destructive habits. ... Well, he's yet to kill the pup, even if he's still making a mess of things.

-Skyler uses white magic and some mechanical equipment (thanks to Cio), Cio relies highly on whatever gear he makes, Judy is a weretiger and expert fighter, and the Smith Sisters are experts on mythology (like demons) and have quite the personal arsenal (intellect, strength, glamor…). No, seriously, “glamor” IS an actual aspect of magic: it’s shapeshifting.

-The AA codenames are as follows: Angelo (Skyler), Kitsune (Cio), Tiger Mother (Judy), and The Wolf Spiders (Smith Sisters). The individual “spider” names: Frost (Salley), Ember (Christine), Seed (Eleana), Windy (Michell), Myst (Katelynn).

-The AA ONLY exterminates when left without choice.

Helluva Boss is Really Bad at Creating Compelling Drama

I mean, I think we all already knew this, but the latest episode truely showed how Helluva fails at this, especially in it's second season. For one, the drama feels artificial.

I've talked about this before, but a major issue with both of Viv's shows is that she constantly uses daddy issues as a way to artificially create drama within the story. Helluva Boss is especially bad at this; daddy issues are constantly used as an easy way to create conflict within the show, and at that point it starts becoming repetive and tiresome. Like, really? ANOTHER character with daddy issues?

The drama never feels natural or remotely organic, it always feels completely forced and artifical.

Another way that the drama can feel forced is drama between specific characters in episodes. Take for example the conflict between Moxxie and Millie in Unhappy Campers. The entire conflict of the episode is driven by Moxxie being jelouse of Millie getting all the attention from the teenagers in the camp, all culminating in an argument between the two.

The reason why the drama feels forced is because Moxxie had to be made OOC in order for this to work; Moxxie has no reason to care about what the teenagers think of him since they are on a mission, yet he does care for SOME REASON. This is the basis for the conflict in the episode and it's completely broken on every level.

Not to mention in the argument is where the show pulls out a character flaw for Millie out of it's ass in a failed attempt at giving her "depth". It all feels forced and contrived, like they had to ruin characters in order for it to work.

But the biggest example of this is when it comes to the drama between Blitzo and Stolas, or otherwise known as the ship, Stolitz.

In this case the drama between the two characters takes over and warps the show to center around it, making the show abandon it's premise in favor of becoming a soap opera. Not only that, but the drama also fails because Stolitz as a reletionship is just badly written.

I've went on about this many times before but, Stolitz is a reletionship that has the victim and abuser roles completely backwards. The show demonizes Blitz and coddles Stolas and paints the ladder as an UwU soft boy, and most of the drama in the reletionship comes from this.

It makes the drama just badly writtten since the reletionship it's tied to has serious issues. Helluva Boss used to be ok at creating decent drama in season 1 but now in season 2 it seems that the writers have just given up on creating compelling drama, and just resort to lazy ways to artifically create conflict within the narrative.

Selene always wanted of a spring wedding.

Beyond being a child of the season, in her eyes it was to be the most romantic - symbolic of the growth between young lovers to lifelong partners. Furthermore, both mother and grandmother had spring weddings - passing their knowledge and the gift of their wedding gown onto the next generation. Its soft emerald hue matched her eyes and the season 0beautifully. She dreamed of walking down the aisle surrounded by love, the cool spring air, and blooming roses.

So why was she here now - cold and without an ounce of love to her name. The artifical bouquet in her hands scratched at the delicate parts of her skin and hair, autumn winds biting her exposed neck and arms. Spring was too much of an inconvenience for her soon to be husband. He hated the outdoors and insects that roamed freely, and so their wedding was set for October in the confines of an old church.

Selene told herself she could be happy. This was meant to be the happiest day of her life and the start of her days as a doting, loving wife, but as she entered the chapel she'd find someone else taking her place. A beautiful soul with a smile that encapsulated everything she loved about spring. Warm and inviting - impossible to forget or ever let go. Dressed in her best, she could never dream be to as angelic as the creature standing up there with her lover. She falls to her knees, begging to be taken instead. To be loved by that angel. To be chains to that demon so he can never hurt them like he's broken her.

"Selene......"

She screams. Take me instead. Take me....

"Ms. Selene!"

Her eyes flutter open. No longer is she crying on the church floor. A gentle hand rubbing her back draws her from slumber, and the remaining tears from her eyes. The stiffness in her spine reminds her of the most uncomfortably comfort night she's had on someone else's couch.

"Ms. Selene, are you okay? You were crying in your sleep when I came to check on you."

Color darkens her pale face as she sits up, deepened by the hand that aids her. "Oh, I'm so sorry, I.... I'm normally not one to dream, and I believe that was the first nightmare I've had in... years.. "

"It's alright, Ms. Selene. You've had a rough night."

Recollection of the night prior barrel through her like a speeding train as she looks up at the face of her savior. She bawled her eyes out at your doorstep, pleading to stay just one night and be gone before down. Her husband had allegedly changed the locks before leaving town and it was too late for her to call anyone else. You offered your home and bed to her as any would do, but she settled for the couch not wanting to be more of a burden than she was.

You give her hand an affirming squeeze - unknowingly kickstarting the beat of her heart. "You have nothing to be sorry for, and you can stay here as long as you need. We'll call a locksmith later so you can get some of your belongings."

It's hard to believe someone that was a stranger only a few short months ago had shown her more kindness than her husband had in all of their years together. Your arm returns to her shoulder as more tears leak from her tired eyes, pulling her into embrace that wash decades of self loathing off her mind. All that lingers in its wake is how she'd kill to spend every morning in your arms - just like this. Even she had to relieve the pain of her past everyday, it would all be worth it to have you.

"Thank you, Y/n. I know we don't know each other well, but words can not describe how luck I am to have you. Without you I don't know where I'd be right now.."

"Ah, don't worry about it. I know you'd do the same for me. Are you hungry?"

She places a hand to her stomach, unsure when the last time she'd eaten. "Seems. Maybe i should make something for us. You've done enough for me already."

"Nah, don't think like that, we can do it together. I have some pancake mix and some fruit in the fridg if that sounds good."

Selene smiles. "That sounds wonderful, dear."

"Cool." Sporting a smile of your own, you lead Selene into the kitchen. You grab a cutting board and knife, placing both on the table as you digging around for the produce in your fridge. Cutting the fruit, Selene has never known more bliss from slicing anything than her husband's throat.

This truly was her new happiest day.

I do like the "You were mythtaken" pun a lot, but part of me thinks that Season 4 would work a lot better if the Initiative had heard of the Slayer before and did believe she existed, and if Adam was explicitly an attempt to artifically create a Slayer of their own, specifically to fight against other demons. (As opposed to Maggie Walsh just deciding to stitch together bits of demon and human soldiers and announce that it was 'the ultimate warrior', which just shows a very weird understanding of what a military organization might be interested in doing.) Maybe we could even have seen Walsh using some data taken from Buffy herself to finish creating him.

One of the weaknesses of Adam as a season Big Bad is that Adam really doesn't have any sort of connection to Buffy herself, which makes him very different from all the other major villains we see. No, they didn't all have the same sort of personal connection to Buffy as Angel or Faith or Willow did, but even the Master and Glory and the First had some special link to Buffy and some reason to be interested in her above anybody else. Adam ... just didn't. He doesn't have any history with Buffy and doesn't even seem interested in her until The Yoko Factor, one episode before he dies! And I think a small change like that could go along way toward fixing this.

(I know Restless in particular does have Adam specifically make the case that he and Buffy are more alike than she'd like to admit, but that's always seemed a bit post hoc to me. If that's what the character is meant to be, why not make it clearer from the beginning?)

so we know that like, Kristen's whole deal is religion and such, right? I'm just kinda thinking about the other Bad Kids and the Gods. Maybe it's my own multi-deity pagan ass just wanting to consider what it would look like. (I'm using primarily Forgotten Realms Gods and my absolutely vague knowledge of them).

This got long so read under the cut ;u;

Gorgug is absolutely Garl Glittergold's favorite child. He loves the shenanigans. Do you think he starts connecting with Gruumsh when he starts connecting with his birth parents? Baby Gorgug leaving bits of metal and toys he accidentally broke on the altar the Thistlesprings' have in their workshop. Gorgug pre-artificer offering up the songs he makes as a tricky sort of "metal" working. Feeling a connection to Gruumsh in the heats of his rage, the nudge of a hand during his frenzy guiding him to the right target. Keeping bits of scrap from their enemies to melt down into his next artificing project. He also probably talks to Helm, sometimes, asking for guidance on how to best protect his friends. Gorgug has big protector energy.

Adaine who is, in a way, a deity in her own right, depending how revered the Oracle is. I don't know if Adaine would connect with Elvish gods, but she and Oghma vibe. I think that after the Bad Kids all talk and bond, Kristen makes a joke about her being a Gruumsh follower with her furious fist and so Adaine jokingly buys a pin to wear in offering. Jawbone also had a talk with her about sometimes it can help to talk to someone about your anxiety--whether that be a counselor or even the Gods, sometimes. Just Adaine praying to Gruumsh to have the strength to punch her anxiety in the face is very beautiful to me. Azuth is the god of wizards, so he and Adaine might vibe. Adaine feels like the type to vibe with the Gods mostly in jest; she talks to them sometimes, but they're silly little guys to her. Because of Tracker and Jawbone's lycanthropy, I think she either has a small shrine to Galicaea or has the biggest beef with her imaginable. Maybe a little bit of both.

Riz. God. I think once Riz meets his Father, he definitely like, sets up a little shrine to him. Ancestor work feels really important to Riz. He dedicates a lot of self-care things to his dad, I think. Mainly sleeping and drinking water. Does he do them? No. But it's the thought that counts. Riz is definitely the like, mundane acts of worship. Incorporating it into miniscule parts of his day that would go undetected unless you knew him and where to look. He also probably has some devotional jewelry to Yondalla; I think that Penny probably had a habit of repeating prayers while touching the beads of her bracelet (kind of like a Rosary) and that rubbed off on him, especially when she was babysitting him. The whole family also probably have at least some sort of worship to Tyr due to their connection to justice and law enforcement. I think Sklonda is more connected with some of the deities associated with Goblins, specifically Gruumsh (can you tell I love him?) and Maglubiyet. He prays to war gods to get through the absolute shitshow of Adventuring school. He and Adaine probably dedicate their research to Oghma.

Fig is really interesting because I feel like she is probably in the vein of demon work instead of divinity. Although I think that she unironically thinks Riz's dad is super cool so like, playfully worships him. Fig is the Bad Kid that I feel like collects all the different pieces of her friends and wears them proudly upon herself. She dedicates concerts to Kristen's new deity of the week. She sighs and asks Oghma for help on exams; she includes prayers to Gruumsh in her tracks. I feel like Fig also might have a tendency to like, worship the people in her life. She thinks they're so important and she cares about them so much. So she elevates them to the status of a God in her mind. They are invincible. They are young and powerful and the bonds they share are much, much magical then some God who pretends to be high and mighty. Her body is an altar--she wears jewelry and draws sigils and uses so much color magick. She is, in a way, a walking beacon to the gods, saying, "Look at us! We're just as good as you, and if you doubt it, then we'll kick your ass!"

Fabian Seacaster my beloved. This man follows his Father's footsteps for a long time. He worships Gods of the tempest, of the sea and sailing. Yondalla holds a special place in his heart. Riz nearly has a conniption when Fabian corrects him on a prayer to Yondalla, and the two of them bond about it. But once this man starts dancing, this man worships Corellon Larethian with his whole chest. He does a lot of his worship through dancing. Moving his body, getting in touch with his roots. Because of the fire elemental, he also does some like, elemental magic? But I think a lot of his forms of worship come through bodily experiences. Braving a storm, dancing in front of a crowd, making just the right maneuver to protect his friends in battle. Sometimes he and Fig and Gorgug will sit together and make devotional playlists!

There's finally the colored version!  And the new fanfic chapter! 13 - Censored Truths      

   I understand when you find the text on the picture confusing. Look: In the alternate apocalyptic future Leo became the ultimate saviour figure after dragging the world into misery in the first place, since he lost the key. In my AU: (the calamity dads AU) The turtles have to deal with all the creatures that survived since the apocalypse was avoided. These creatures include a dragon invasion from another dimension AND of course 49 turtle tots. No, this is not a typo - FOURTYNINE! Now you understand why Leo has a crisis. 16 out of this 49 kids are his own. You wanna know how this happened again? - In a nutshell: Crazy cult leader abducted scientists, stole the turtles' genotype and artifically created mutant/demon hybrids for his own future army. One of the scientists escaped and contacted the Hamato's. This is basically a crime the boys fell victim too before the beginning of the show - back in 2017. Only Mikey was spared. So they basically pay for a crime they themselves fell victim to.

Thinking about a scenario where the Ink Demon/Ink MK/Curse the gang encounters in S4 accidentally forms an outer conscieness.

I feel like it gains sentience partially from MK refering to the Curse as a being separate from the Scroll - and not solely as a tool created to torment it's prisoners. Almost like a magic artifical intelligence.

I could see MK finding a way to contact the demon, mostly to gain greater insight on things he's mentally avoiding. Like by writing with an enchanted ink set, or with the ink left behind by the Curse's rampage.

MK, putting ink brush to paper: "Hi?" *The ink begins to blob and shape itself into words* Ink Curse, as writing on the paper: "You could have just used a pen, idiot." MK, excitedly writing back: "It's you!!" Ink Curse: "Why do you seem excited? Are you a glutton for punishment?" MK: "So, I know your whole thing is to pick people apart mentally, right?" Ink Curse: "Yes. I was spawned from the ink used to detail the crimes of those written into the scroll of memory. It is my purpose. Like how you were made for-" MK, writing over the response: "Yeah yeah chaos and destruction and stuff I know that part. But like, when I got home... I started thinking about the other stuff and... you seem pretty good at voicing thing people don't want to know about themselves. It almost feels I dunno... catartic almost? (is that how you spell it)? Ink Curse: "It is spelt Cathartic. And If you take any comfort in what I did, then I have failed my purpose. Or you are hopelessly dense." MK: "But thats the thing! I didn't feel comfortable! You dragged me out of my comfort zone and made me think about junk. It's actually helping me a little in coming to terms with... what I am." Ink Curse: *doesn't respond for some time* "You are strange." MK: "I mean, I guess. I'm writing to a demonic ink curse instead of going to an actual therapist. Hope to talk to you again soon Mozhi*!" Newly dubbed "Mozhi": "Excuse me?"

*"Mozhi/Mòzhī/墨汁" - meaning "squid ink" or the ink used in traditional chinese calligraphy.

And since putting a name to something gives its power, "Mozhi" begins to manifest beyond ink and paper. Ink stains and monkey handprints litter the apartment. The magnets on MK's fridge start rearranging into swear words. The menu at Pigsy's shuffles to critique minor flaws in the kitchen. Mei starts recieving scathing texts from an unlisted number. The tv starts glitching in the viewer's insecurities.

Eventually the gang break down MK's door to figure out wtf is going on, only to see an Ink!MK physically pull itself into the 3d world from the Cursed ink. Everyone starts screaming.

Macaque, laughing: "Oh my gods, I know what happened here - I've heard of it happening before in shadow demons. MK gave the ink Curse a name and that gave it power to, quote a little puppet made of pine; become a real boy." Ink Curse/Mozhi, stumbling like a newborn fawn: "Why is my body being pulled down?" Wukong: "It's called gravity, spot. You get used to it." Ink Curse/Mozhi: "You are actively floating." Wukong: "Yeah, doesn't mean I have to like gravity."

In his "physical" form, Mozhi looks like monkey!MK with inky black fur and colder toned skin - his facial marking a smeared grey color with a distinct heart-shaped outline. He reduces to his inky form when physically damaged or when he wants to "hop into" a book or artwork. Dislikes sunlight/heat, it dries him out.

And because he is no longer within MK's head/the scroll, he's a lot less all-knowing. He is however scarily perceptive of others thoughts and fears, and loudly narrates his opinions on things.

Red Son: "Is that a sentient ink curse?" Mozhi, mockingly: "Is that an emotionally-constipated daddy's boy who almost destroyed the world with a toddler temper tantrum, and still refuses to admit that he's more morally righteous than he lets on?" :3 Red Son, flames up: "Oh its on, you glorified Rorshace test!" MK: *sprays water bottle at them* "Down! Both of you! Mozhi, I said no commentating on people's inner thoughts!" Mozhi: "If y'all actually went to theraphy, then there would be nothing for me to talk about."

This also makes Mozhi the best person to roast somebody when the others are too busy/emotional to do so on their own. And since he mirrors the power of the person he's roasting, it gives him Jester's Immunity to damage from angry Celestials.

The Jade Emperor: "Why is there a loose ink demon in my throne room?" Mozhi, giggling manically as he morphs into an ink!Emperor: "Hahahahahaha~ wow. Ruler of all beings, mortal and divine. And you can't even recognise yourself. Disappointing really. Then again, can't expect much from a glorified intern that was gifted the throne and hasn't done much else since." *Vicious Mockery continues for many hours*

Mozhi is however... kinda bad at admiting and recognizing his own feelings? He's never had any before that weren't projections of others. Is this what true sadness feels like, or does he just need to get some sleep? Can come off as cold, even when trying to be geniune. He's just not used to having emotions or empathy yet.

So a bit of symbolism I have never seen anyone comment on is what fingers each of the 5 Godhand of Berserk represents.

From left to right, we first have Conrad.

Starting with the Pinky, there is Conrad. The littlefinger unlike the rest has little symbolism behind it.

He is the forgotten member, the one with a very mundane name, who never really does anything to stand out, and who's demonic form is that of a giant bedbug.

Next, the Ring Finger is Ubik.

The ring finger is the mystical finger, the one given higher signifigance than the rest of a mytholical scale, and fittingly, he is the most blantly open and frequent about making use of his magical powers to compensate for his less than impressive body.

The middle finger is Slan, the one who is the embodiment of everything evil and disguisting about sex in all it's forms.

The middle finger is, fittingly enough, the finger of vulgarity, with the raised finger along with a fist used, having become a go to insult due to it's visual similaity to an erect human dick.

The index finger is represented by Femto, the evil messiah of an artifical, false god.

As the index finger he points the way, showing the path for those around him to follow, wheter if be conquest, or helping him destroy his former, closest friends in the worst manner possible.

But despite appearances, he is not in charge.

Symbolizing the thumb, is Void, the real leader behind the Godhand, the leader who the rest intentionally or othervise follows.

They are all under his thumb so to speak.

He is also the most vocal about the groups misson to enforce the "Flow of casuality", or in other words, putting his thumb of the scales of destiny.

Real Name: [REDACTED] (All we know about her real name, is that it's so horrible, when she accidentally gave it to the fey, the fey gave it back.)

Backstory: The Technomancer comes from a rich family, who sent their child to Wizard High School with high hopes, but she nearly failed her first year, nearly failed her second year, nearly failed her third year, and nearly failed her final year, and graduated worst of her class. She, however, didn’t want to let her parents down, and stumbled upon an abandoned workshop, which she claimed, and discovered her love of technomancy and artificery. In this workshop, she found a pair of cursed goggles, that she used, and was under a curse that caused her to murder her entire family. Wow. That's deep. This curse was later removed by @terrencetheshark14, and @combustion-wizard who she now considers her best friends. Shortly after, her right hand was bitten off by one of @fayewoods109's demon bowls, and is currently in the process of designing her own prosthesis. Also, @rock-pikmin-is-funny is her apprentice/friend/creature now, after it just wandered in one day and asked to learn technomancy I guess.
